Code of Ethics

The CASW has a code of ethics which is a set of principles to guide a social worker as he or she deals with issues arising in the workplace. Some of the principles deal with matters of confidentiality, respect for the individual and his or her opinion, conflict of interest. The code is a starting-off point which leads the way to more specific standards of practice.
