Assembly of First Nations (AFN)

The AFN is the national representative/lobby organization of the First Nations in Canada. Their website has up-to-date news and information about First Nations people.

Congress of Aboriginal Peoples (CAP)

The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples was founded in 1971 as the Native Council of Canada (NCC). It was established to represent the interests nationally of Metis and non-status Indians, a population that out-numbered all other Native people combined. This is an excellent website with statistics, history and news.
